RECENT NEWS

'The Last of the Lighthouse Keepers' (from 'The Jewel Merchants' 2017) will be performed by Soprano Donna Lennard in Songs & Sounds 'Mental Health Matters' online recital, 29 April 2021.

29 January 2021, Rose's new work 'Krvava Bajka' was performed as part of the Holocaust Memorial Concert 'Portraits & Remembrance' at Rossi Fest, Serbia. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the festival was a digital one.

'Krvava Bajka' is a setting of the poem of the same name about the Kragujevac Massacre 20/21 October 1941 by Desanka Maksimović, an atrocity and piece history that must never be forgotten.

During the 2020 lockdown, as part of the Opera Harmony project run by Ella Marchment, Rose has closely collaborated digitally on new mico-opera 'Wisdom of Stone' with Librettist/Director Candace Evans (USA), Soprano Anne Sophie Duprels  (France), Video & Sound Editor Thomas Hripko (USA) and instrumental ensemble Cello, Kevin Kirs Verstege (Netherlands), Viola, Bart Folkers (Netherlands), Oboe, Clara Laufente Garcia (Spain), Bassoon, Gillian Horn (Scotland), and Pianist & Musical Coach Annette Saunders.

You can watch 'Wisdom of Stone' on Opera Vision week commencing 11 August for free. You can find out more about all the operas and read Rose's comments on the project in Opera Magazine here. 'Wisdom of Stone' was filmed on location at Le Château de la Rochelambert and recorded by each artist and edited together by Thomas Hripko.
